"I feel supported in both my role and in my own mental health."
I love working with Peerstar because I feel supported in both my role and in my own mental health. Working here gives me a sense of purpose and accomplishment while enjoying helping people and making a difference. My coworkers make work enjoyable as well as make me feel valued.
Cheyenne Raley, Regional Director
"I have been blessed to turn my pain into purpose."
Peer support met me exactly where I was at while incarcerated, and that service was truly life-changing. I began my journey four years ago by becoming a Certified Peer Specialist, and since joining Peerstar, I've specialized in forensic peer support, co-occurring peer support, dual diagnosis, and empowered aging. I've served individuals in county jails, co-facilitated Crisis Intervention Training simulations, and recently stepped into a mentor role for new staff. I've been blessed to turn my pain into purpose, and I encourage anyone to set goals and take the time to love yourself.

"This career has given me a chance to accentuate my strengths and grow as a person."
I love working with Peerstar because this career has given me a chance to accentuate my strengths and grow as a person. I’m at a better place in my life because of peer support, and Peerstar has opened so many doors that I never even considered before.
Nate Albright, Training and Development
"It planted the seed for me to want to provide that hope for recovery, encouragement, and boost in self worth for others."
I love working at Peerstar because it gives me an opportunity to use my lived experience to make a difference. Years ago, at my lowest point, a peer support specialist helped me turn the corner and truly begin my recovery journey. That planted the seed for me to want to provide that same hope, encouragement, and boost in self worth for others. I'm proud to say I've done that at Peerstar, and I'm thrilled to now train new CPSs to be that beacon of hope for their peers.
Bryan Corbin, Training and Development
"I may show up for the peers but in return they are showing up for me too."
Peerstar has been a game changer for me. I know when I was struggling the hardest with my mental health it was those around me going through similar situations that helped me the most. To be able to work for a company that is recovery driven, to show up for others in some of their hardest situations and be able to provide hope when it can seem so bleak is such a blessing beyond words for me. To be able to celebrate small and big victories, to see their progress it keeps giving me hope too. I may show up for the peers but in return they are showing up for me too.
Nichole Hopkins, CPS
"My past is treated not as a weakness, but as my greatest strength."
Working at Peerstar feels less like a job and more like a true calling because of how deeply this organization honors lived experience—my past is treated not as a weakness, but as my greatest strength. Being a Certified Peer Specialist allows me to turn the hardest chapters of my journey into a tool for hope. I especially love bringing this passion into senior living communities, helping older adults find their voices, navigate transitions, and reclaim their independence. I'm honored to be that steady, non-judgmental presence in their corner.
Megan Weible, Senior Living CPS
"It's Christmas all the time at Peerstar."

I get to meet peers and grow right beside them. I choose Peerstar because the staff is friendly, we share a common goal, and we strive to just help others. We are passionate, dedicated, and hopeful peopleIt's Christmas all the time at Peerstar.

"I appreciate being part of an organization that recognizes the importance of authentic connection and the impact of peer services in our communities."
I enjoy working for Peerstar because it gives me the opportunity to support the Certified Peer Specialists who are out every day doing the meaningful work of walking alongside individuals in recovery. I value being in a role where I can help remove barriers and create an environment where CPS staff feel supported, respected, and empowered. Their dedication, compassion, and lived experience are inspiring, and I'm grateful to contribute to their success. Peerstar's commitment to peer support and authentic connection aligns strongly with my own values.
